In some cases, foot pain is an indication that something more serious is wrong.<\/p>\n<p>Here are common some causes of foot pain, things you should be on the lookout for.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abnormal Foot Structure<\/strong><br \/>\nWhile an abnormal foot structure isn\u2019t something that you can always help (sometimes you are born with an abnormal foot structure), proper fitting shoes can go a long way in helping prevent pain from abnormal foot structure.\u00a0Walking in ill-proper fitting shoes can result in pain and soreness.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blisters and Corns<\/strong><br \/>\nBlisters and corns generally are caused from friction, generally brought on by ill-fitting shoes.\u00a0Those with toe issues such as bunions are at a higher risk of getting blisters or corns since shoes will rub against them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bunions<\/strong><br \/>\nBunions appear as a large bump on the side of your big toe. Bunions are often painful due to their placement they can be uncomfortable. Bunions can be cause from genetics \u2013meaning that the type of foot you have is more prone to bunions, or it can be caused from wearing too tight of shoes for too long.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Plantar Fasciitis<\/strong><br \/>\nPlantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of pain in the heel. The pain runs along the base of your foot, along a band of tissue called \u201cPlantar Fascia.\u201d Plantar fasciitis can be caused by a small tear in the plantar fascia, resulting in a stabbing pain. Help to prevent this injury by stretching before running, and by wearing proper fitting footwear.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingrown Toenails<\/strong><br \/>\nIngrown toenails are a common condition that occurs when the toenail grows into the flesh along the side of the nailbed. Ingrown toenails are painful and cause redness and swelling.
